Bar Risa/Jongleurs

Avoid this place like the plague. Cheesy and tacky RnB music. I also feel pretty unsafe in here. There always seems to be fights breaking out and there seems to be a volatile atmosphere all the time. Full of wannabe thugs and slags. Avoid avoid avoid. Go down Call Lane instead.*Update Seems to be having a rebrand and a revamp or they’ve been bought out. Hopefully the new ‘Maluko’ (or whatever they’re calling it) will solve the problems of it’s predecessor. At the moment from the looks of things they’re still going with the ‘themed bar’ thing. Looks pretty lame atm but time will tell.

good atmosphere and music, although it can be a little quiet and dull at times! a good place to go for pre-​drinks before clubbing though :)

Not a big Bar Risa they lay out and music is good and the drinks are reasonable btu everytime i’ve been there’s been fights breaking out which isn’t very nice and some people in here do look like they are just looking to cause trouble. Usually very busy at weekends so must be some peoples cup of tea

Jongleurs is great for a different night out, you can go as large group or just as a couple and still have as much fun. You don’ get tochoose which comedians you see so you end up with a mixed bag of good and bad ones but you usually get at least one funny guy. They do huge pitchers of alcohol as well which is great and they take orders at your table as well so you don’t have to wait ages at the bar. The food is a bit naff and overpriced so I wouldn’t recommend eating as well. I’ve been quite a few times now and always enjoyed myself. Def worth a visit. After the comedy part is over they turn the room into a nightclub type place so you get to boogy your socks off after if you’re not too drunk from all your pitchers of booze!
