There was no sea bream which was actually what we would have liked.
Rigatonni Melanzane was average.
Coffee was good.
Toilets clean and tidy.

Visted this restaurant on the 21^st May with my girlfriend as it was my birthday and we were both impressed with the food and service. Although what you are served with doesn’t seem like much, the meal was quite filling and I would recommend visiting this restaurant.

Read my reviews of Italian restaurants. I’m Italian so I tend to be pretty tough on them but I’ll try my best not to rip these guys apart.
To be honest… I had a decent meal here. I don’t even think the workers/​owner are Italian and, if they were, they spoke some kind of dialect and had the strangest broken English i’ve ever heard leave an Italian’s mouth.
I had some pasta with scallops and I was pleased with it. Then I had some tiramisu and gelato for dessert and that wasn’t half bad either.
I must say I was more impressed with the place than I expected to be. Just looking at it’s tiny size, odd adornments (most of which weren’t related to Italy in the least bit), and strange servers, didn’t give me the impression that I was going to have a great meal. There was barely anyone in there when I went which worried me too.
But…they pulled it off.

I am a university student and came to have a nice italian dinner with 6 or so of my friends. the moment we came in our server was rude and treated us terribly. She was rolling her eyes at us, huffing at requesting, and generally being rude.
I am normally a very generous tipper (as I am from the States and we tip hugely on everything), but this was one of the few times I barely left a tip because the service was awful.
The thing I hate about tipping terribly is that she probably treated us awfully because we were students and figured we wouldn’t tip well anyway.
Her terrible attitude put a damper on one of our few nights out.
The food was mediocre, but not awful. I think I may have just been spoiled back home with incredible Italian food. My friends all thought the food was nice.

Thankfully for this place, I’ve been here twice, and so it was able to redeem itself back to a 2 star rating, and not the 1 it would have been from the first.
The first time I came was pretty poor. I was being introduced to my girlfriend-at-the-time’s friends here — about 8 of them. I promised myself I’d be well behaved, nice, etc. I mostly was. Unfortunately, after an hour we got a little bored of them having forgotten half the dishes for our table, and so things kicked off a bit. They quite quickly then brought them out — cold and a bit soiled — they brought the originals that they didn’t bring us out. After further complaint, and myself and another actually taking over a bit here, we had some fresh food brought out (whilst one did look like it was the same but just slightly reshuffled, we were out of energy by this point), and we got offered a complimentary bottle of wine (or was it two. I don’t remember) as apology. Alas, this was where my being nice had to slip, and I perhaps, maybe, ever so slightly, asked if we’d have to wait another hour for that too. Thankfully, only my girlfriend took distaste to this comment, so it was something of a success and we did indeed get our wine.
The food itself on that ocassion wasn’t bad once present, though I would have appreciated the menu indicating that my prawn salad featured fully shelled prawn (great, so new restaurant with new people, and I had to learn how to de-​shell prawns too).
The second time we better, but nothing special. The service was standard, as was the food. I think we may have had the same waitress as before, too, but I kept any remarks to myself, and she made no obvious sign of recognition.
Whilst I won’t slap a 1 star on here, for I can somewhat understand the misfortune of what was a very busy night the first time, I highly doubt I’ll be returning in a hurry.
