Delicious pizza. Lots of cheese! Olives were divine. Service was good too! They have an outdoor garden too which is a sun trap.

This place is incredibly successful, so much so that they don’t take bookings for tables on a weekend unless it’s a large group. It deserves to be so, the pizzas are authentic and tasty, the menu varied enough to suit most tastes, and the staff are chatty and friendly. The pizza oven is in the middle of the restaurant, there for all to see their pizzas being made to order. It’s incredibly welcoming to families too, you’ll find it buzzing on a Saturday and Sunday during the day with kids, who are all in bed by the time couples and those without kids want to eat out. The only disappointment I’ve ever had here is the takeaways. Somehow, they just aren’t as good as eating in.

Oscars is an institution in Kings Langley. I grew up here and it is just as much of a hit with the locals now as it was over 12 years ago. Owned by a Sicilian family that also owns and runs an Oscar’s in Palermo Italy — you know you are getting an authentic experience! Over the years it has had a few updates to the décor but has always had a really cosy welcoming feel. It can get lively and quite busy at the weekends but you will always find a table even if there is a small wait. Not just specialising in Pizza(although I personally don’t go for anything else) they offer pasta, meat and fish dishes all freshly made, nothing is pre cooked. They also have a bar and quite happily welcome people just popping in for coffee. Pizzas start from £8 pounds and most meat and pasta dishes are a similar price. Good size portions and friendly staff. I hope Oscars’ will be around for years to come.
