4.5 stars. Great petit restaurant. I have been there a number of times and had steak salad, smoked mackerel, duck and all were excellent. The fondant dessert is really very fine. The soup du jour is always delicious as well. A very cool, unpretentious but very comfortable environment to eat great food in. Very reasonable in general, but an excellent deal considering how good the food is. A very nice place for a date as well.

We had a lovely meal here to celebrate our anniversary. Staff were nice and the owner was very quirky and fun. Food was great(particularly the scallop starter) and I would definitely go back. The only reason it’s not 5* is that my boyfriend is very tall and found sitting in the booths a bit uncomfortable.

Beautifully presented and tasting French cuisine. Definitely recommend to locals and tourists alike. Small plates and main plates that I recommend sharing to enjoy all the tastes available.

Came here for my anniversary for a laid back meal. Had a lovely dinner with three courses and freshly made fondue(the chef put he wrong cheese in, which they admitted and swapped over as soon as was possible — I wouldn’t have even noticed). All was delicious and the service was brilliant. Make sure you sit in the downstairs part as it is far more intimate.

Came here pre theatre at Sadler’s Wells, which is around the corner. So did everyone else in the restaurant! We came in at around 6.30pm, and the place was full. It only holds about 30 covers maximum, and the seating is very informal. Benches line the walls as you come through, and there is one table out the back. The staff is very friendly and tried to get a hurry up on the food when they knew we were on a tight timeline. I had the goats cheese salad to start, which was excellent, followed by the cheese fondue. Although it tasted good, it was disappointingly thin, and I did look enviously upon my companions’ beef bavette and burgers, which were very well received. Definitely good pre theatre fare and to be recommended. We were very surprised to find the restaurant completely empty when we walked out. I guess the secret is out!
