Huntington Garden & Leisure

I’m not sure any garden centre that lists ‘restaurant’ as their top feature and hides all plants outside can really remain a garden centre…
A large space, Huntingdon Garden & Leisure contains masses of stock. Clothing, a butchers, wine & beer, pet supplies (and a few pets), garden accessories. Oh, and a few plants. There’s a Costa and WH Smith, as well as an ice rink during the Christmas period.
Probably a good stop to keep young children entertained, but it’s a shame to see the quality of stock decreasing and the centre losing its focus.

They have too many different strands they appear to want to be into, and as a result do not appear to be doing any of them very well.
A lot of what they sell is much more expensive than you can get elsewhere (e.g. David Austin roses, Bi-​Orb fish tanks, Dog Food).
Staff are variable, but problematic if you want help with a department that is not their area. Have been told that the person who does that department is off that day, and could I come back another day. NOT very customer friendly. This shop seems to have become too large to really care.
Coffee shop is VERY expensive, and does not offer anything to justify it. Cheesa Salad sandwich (like you buy from Tesco) £3.95!!! Daylight robbery.
Final thing, can be hard to leave, especially if turning right towards Huntingdon. Can take ages to get out, and the queue to leave the car park can be long.
Overall, I use it as a place to visit for ideas, but not so much to buy things.

This is a very large garden centre and more. The shop is massive. You need to set aside a few hours when you visit. The christmas display is fantastic and I love wandering aound the displays. They sell all the usual garden centre stuff as well as lots of toys and books. They also have a very nice coffee shop. The car park is massive and you can always find a space.

This is the best garden centre that I have been to. It is a day out as there is lots to look aroundplants, pots, pet food, candles, craft items, plant food, clothing, toys, etc etc To break up your browsing experience there is a lovely café which caters for children and highchairs are available too. An outddor play area provides enertainment for the kids and there are toilets and baby changing facilities. As a gardening enthusiast it is very difficult to leave here without having spent some money. Very good quality items and plants.

Excellent garden centre with something for almost everyone here. Play area for the children, dogs allowed in, except in café area.
Large pet shop selling fish, rabbits, birds, mice, gerbils etc.
Well stocked pet supplies, cages, beds food etc.
Craft centre with special events held at various times.
Food department with fresh meat, veg, frozen veg and fruit, jams and sweets.
Huge indoor and outdoor plant sections.
Spa centre.
And much more.
Café serving lunches and snacks, very nice food.
Many special events held over the year. Huge Christmas selection available here too.
Huge car park and friendly staff. Loyalty card with discounts each month for members.

This is a great garden centre to visit, they hold small event for the children which have included strawberry planting etc. There is a small pet area to buy things for your pets. They hold a great stock of all things you need for the garden as well as gift items. Christmas is a great time to visit as they have lots of christmas items as well as santas grotto.

This is a large garden centre with a outdoor play area, café were you can sit inside or out, pets to buy like fish, mice, rabbits, etc, toilets including disabled and baby change, they sell toys, games, books, garden things, plants, clothes, pet things, picture few food bits including sweets and chocolate. Every so often they have small events on.
