Very cool place, great atmosphere, very friendly with children and families, a little less cool for adults only, student tickets cost £ 10,

Was interessting, but there are better ones, which are not so expensive.

High entrance fee, not really impressive, wouldnt go there a second time. Maybe its nice for families with children, because there is a lot to explore. But for students or older people its kinda boring

The Deep is One of the Great places to Visit in Hull.
i have been with my family and also my Friends, it is Filled with Very interesting and Rare Marine Animals and is Great fun and also a Good learning experience for Families !
i would Highly Recommend visiting the Deep if you Are in the Area it is amazing !

The Deep is great for a family day out. Children will be kept mesmerised by the hands on experiences and puzzles dotted around. The submarine is always a winner, and young children love to see the bright colours of the fish. The Deep is always clean, and the fish are obviously well cared for.

If tanks of wild caught fish being kept in captivity floats your boat, then the Deep is for you. However, if you are compassionate about animal welfare you might want to avoid the Deep.
It is also expensive to get in, the café sells fish! and is also expensive. If you care about animals avoid and visit the Hull and East Riding museum (for free) instead.

my grandson has decided since visiting the deep he wants to be a deep sea marine biologist, he is only 3 so it definitely left a good impression on him! theres so much to do and look at it makes for a great day out. theres several different sections to visit showing different species that live in different places such as the twilight zone is full of deep sea animals that live so far down they are permanently in the dark and a section all about creatures that live where its very cold, including 2 walls made of ice! the main part of it is taken up with the huge main tank with sharks and octopi and other huge underwater animals. you climax your visit witha trip in a special lift that takes you up through the middle of his tank. amazing!

I went here in a group of 20 or so Mums and babies/​toddlers and we had a fantastic day out.
Seeing so many different species was phenomenal especially seeing how amazed the little ones were.
I used to live in Hull and never got a chance to go to the Deep. I wish I had and I’m glad I finally got to go there as it is a wonderful day out for adults and children alike.
Very educational and reasonably priced especially for groups.

The Deep allows you to experience the story of the worlds oceans by entering on the third floor, and working your way down to one of the deepest tanks in Europe. On route, there are interactive displays, presentations, and aquarium displays. To return to the exit, you can either walk the worlds deepest viewing tunnel, or take a quick ride in a glass lift through the tank!
We took our 2 children, They really enjoyed sitting right alongside the huge tank where they could watch the sharks, rays and fish swim past her, and also the small interactive gallery for under 8s, where she could colour in pictures, and look out through pretend binoculars.
To get full benefit from the displays, and vast amount of information on offer, children need to be older. There weren’t as many aquarium displays as we thought there would have been, to keep younger children interested. I have spoken to someone who took their 9 year old daughter, and they felt two and a half hours was sufficient time to see everything.

The Deep has put Hull on the map to a certain extent. A unique aquarium which contains all kinds of fish and sea-​life including sharks and rays. There are also interactive education features and audio-​visual presentations.
The building itself is very striking with an angular aspect pointing out to the Humber.

Although the structure does not look anything much from the outside inside it is a fantastic underwater world. The aquariums are wonderfully stocked and presented and the whole experience is atmospheric and impresive. There are many different species to look at and learn about, it is impossible to leave the Deep without learning plenty. It is a wonderful experience for children and there are often lots of school trips visiting. It also gets very busy at weekends and during school holidays, if you can it is worth going for a weekday visit in order to miss the crowds. The café is spacious and stocks snacks and meals. There is of course the obligitory gift shop.

Amazing piece of architecture, lots of fish in here and it is very deep. Walking around there are lots of different species of fish and would suit children or school groups.
There is a lift which runs down the whole building with glass sides so you can get an immersive view as if you were really inside the water!

Disabled acces is brilliant as they have wheelchairs to hire, and the staff are very helpful in terms of guiding you the best way around.
the large tanks are all clean, and i saw no dead animals in any of the tanks. Even with the 3 school trips when we went its so big and there is so much to do that you didnt really find yourself getting crowded around any single exhibit. The sharks were brilliant to look at and the evolution walk made excellent use of history combined with weird and wonderful species.
The Arctic section was probably one of the best bits because the walls are actually maintained with a layer of ice over them which makes for a very very unique exhibit!
The lift that goes down the centre of the giant tank was a brilliant experience because you really do get a tremendous view all around and actually feel as though you are in the water
