Seems that after taking my parents to the Nandos in Manchester they are now big fans, so during our meet up in Hull it was clear that there was only one place they wanted to dine.
After browsing the shops in the St Stephens shopping centre we were rather peckish so headed up to the first floor for a good chunk of chicken. Between us we shared one of the platters, which consisted of a whole chicken and four sides. Possibly a little bit too much food for three people at lunch — definitely a good size for four people (but I guess it depends how much food you can manage).
It’s great that you can pick how hot you’d like the chicken, plus if you want some extra flavour or spice you can choose some sauce from their condiments section.
I utterly adore nandos peas, fresh and minty which is a nice taste after the spice.
This particular nandos doesn’t have anything extra to offer other than their usual menus. The toilets were a lot nicer than other nandos I’ve visited.

We were greeted with an unfriendly face that gave the impression that we were bothering her. The person in question is called ‘Mitilda’. Despite the company policy being no reservations on tables, we were shouted at like children in front of a restaurant full of people to move to a different table. Very embarrassing. Lastly although our food arrived reasonably quickly, whilst we were here we saw that one table waited for over 30 minutes for their meal (although they had to complain to the manager before getting any attention). Overall the cleanliness is disgusting, the staff are barely fluent in English and some of the other customers are vagabonds.

Haven’t been to a Nando’s for a while so tried the one in Hull. As soon as we walked through the door we were greeted and shown to seats. The table for two we had wasn’t very big and next time would ask for a bigger table. The service was excellent.
The butterfly chicken was very good but should be at £10. The chicken breast burger £7 was really good although the bun it came in hadn’t been cut right down the middle so was lop sided and didn’t get eaten. Although I like Nandos I do feel they are slightly overpriced so don’t go out my way to go often.

Fantastic restaurant for every occasion. I go here with my girlfriends on every birthday and they are always accommodating when we request anything. Food is fantastic, I don’t like spicy food so I always request plain chicken and its always great. recommend for anyone who loves chicken!!!

I really didn’t fancy going, as I thought it was all for young screaming teenagers. I went with my partner it was lovely, staff were very polite and organised. Although the chicken is very spicy it is a good job there is a handy refillable drink for a very reasonable price.
I WOULD REALLY REALLY RECOMMEND NANDOS!

Very nice chicken restaurant, as mentioned before the food is generally peri-​peri marinated, but you can get non-​spicy food if you want.
The kids love it here, the sweet potato mash is delicious.

decent restaurant, depends entirely on who serves you. Food is usually spot on but have been let down on various occasions by certain waters/​waitresses, but has been fantastic when served by the right people.

This place is great! If you like chicken, and you like spicy food, then this is the place to be! (although they do serve a more mild spice if you’re not keen =)) The food is always great and cooked to perfection, and the staff have always been very friendly. The only downside is that Nando’s seems to be extremely popular and at times is very busy and you have to wait for up to 20mins to be seated. But when you are seated and you’re order is placed, you only wait around 10 minutes before your food arrives, its super speedy! You can even get a refillable drink, useful if you go for a spicy chicken! And there are a wide range of peri peri sauces that you can choose to accompany you’re meal. The décor is wonderful, the music is realxing and the restaurant is just very comfortable in general! I would recommend Nando’s to anybody!

Nando’s is not for everyone — the main majority of the food is peri peri marinated (even the mayonaise which you have to pay for seperately!!) and can be slightly spicy — not good if you dont like spicy food.
They do, do a lemon and herb marinade but again this isnt for everyone.
The resturant it’s self is set in a nice relaxing atmosphere with plenty of seating.
When ordering your food, there is no waitress service and you are required to order and pay at the counter.
They do serve alcohol and also do a promotion where you can get free refills on soft drinks.
There is also a kids menu, which is the only meals on the menu where you can have the chicken plain without the marinade.
Nando’s is located on the 1st floor of st stephens shopping centre.

A unique style chicken restaurant which always has a great atmosphere. Situated within a large shopping centre with its own cinema it is perfect for a lunch time re fuel or a night time meal. Compared to other Nandos restaurants I have visited this is absolutely huge and very stylish. Although it is still partially self service the staff are helpfull and attentive, and were very reasonable when I had a small issue with our meal. Prices have definitely risen in recent years but for a good quality, relaxed family restaurant it is still quite reasonably priced.
