INLOVEWITHTHISPLACE. Look, if any American can challenge an Asian spot in the UK, BRINGIT. I have a really good friend who lives in Windsor(formerly Slough) and I beg her to go to Karahi Express every time I visit. She’s a veggie and I am totally down with that as an omnivore so she and her friend brought me to Karahi when I was visiting on holiday a couple of years ago. This place knocks anywhere I’ve eaten Punjabi food in the U.S. OUTTHEPARK, with the exception of these Parathas I had in Jersey City, NJ and any Trini food I’ve had in my hood(Doubles, pholourhie, Roti from A&A and Gloria’s! Brrrrrat, brrrat!). I’ve eaten high end Indian food at places like Amma and the roti spot. Karahi still beats everyone. We order five or six dishes, which is always too much(we stomach too big fi wi eye). Traditional dishes like Saag Paneer, Channa Masala, Daal, Kofta, Biriyani, Chaat for starters. I’ve been to a «British Indian» restaurant and never want to go back again — I think it’s like Tex-Mex food in the US. The restaurants cater to the locals’ taste. And to me, it’s way too bland. I like my food spicy and flavorful and Karahi Express has never disappointed me. Can’t you open in the US? :)

I was quite surprised by this place. We were staying near the airport and just happened by here. I order aloo ghobi spicy and it was excellent. Not only was my dinner spicy but there was also plentiful other flavors, including a generous dose of fresh ginger. My husband ordered kahari chicken that was also delicious. We came in before the dinner rush and our food was prepared to order and steaming hot. Wait staff was very attentive. Outstanding.

It sad for me to leave another review after witnessing such a bad thing over here. –Comparatively for the past recent months, most of their food are very oily, I guess they can improve a lot if they solve this. –They can certainly get more local regulars for long-term basis by just cooking healthy food rather sending them for Cholesterol Check-ups every year.. . It will be most appreciated if the management take care of this issue..

Great food with a decent spice to it and strong flavor. Fish tikka and yellow dal are great. Also the mixed appetizer plate(Tandoori Mix Grill) and Chicken Dhansak which I had never heard of. Naan is also very good. Would love for more non-Indian people to come here and bug my Indian friend who says it’s where all the Indians go. He’s right though, and it’s because it’s so good.
