Tyre Spot

I visited TyreSpot in Houghton for a 4 wheel allignment this afternoon, (14^th August 2009) and also had a problem with a slight wheel vibration in the drivers front wheel.
i was really surprised with the level of service and was very pleased with their quality and caring work.
they managed to fix the vibration problem, with reballancing the front 2 wheels, and the allignment was way out, but after their adjustments they stopped my car pulling to the left and straightened up the steering wheel to its rightful central position. and all for £36!!! they quoted me more over the phone but still were very reasonable and much cheaper than my local audi garage. they wanted £115 for the allignment and another £125 for the wheel balancing! totaling £230. what a crazy price. Tirespot asked me to have a drive around and see if i was happy with the adjustments made to my car. then come back andi if all ok, they would take payment. I would highly recommend anyone to go there. they dont call them Stealerships for nothing haha. i cant understand what the other review was talking about here, the experience was second to none! PS im not sure what the price rating meant but i gave it 4 because i thought it was a very reasonable price for such excellent service!

If you should be unfortunate enough to find yourself in the area of this garage with a problem with your tyres then prepare for the worst.
The service was poor and the prices through the roof, Having worked in a tyre and auto garage for about ten years in the past I knew fine well this place was expensive and the staff were definitely working on bonus as rather than just fixing the job at hand they were looking constantly for other problems to point out to me.
Best avoided unless in emergencies.

Staff could not be more helpful if they tried, 4 bays for cars to be worked on. They can carry out brakes and exhausts as well as tyre service. The staff have been there years so they know what they are talking about and have twice turned me away telling me that my tyres are fine rather than selling me something I don’t need .
Can find better with prices either, have looked all over and have come nowhere to matching.
