The menu of the website doesn’t seem to reflect the reality. There is a shelf with some very nice looking sushi and a person cooking pasta freshly for you, you choose the ingredients and then watch while it is cooked. It’s a nice idea. The basic pasta is £2.98 with a basic sauce. To that I added beans, aubergine and parmesan and that took it to almost a fiver. I carried the box back to my office and was impressed with how good it tasted. The portion size was not so good though. An option to pay a little double the amount of pasta would cost them almost nothing and make it a really attractive option. As it was, I had to get a second lunch elsewhere… I’ll be back to try the sushi though.

With Josy’s recommendation, I paid a visit and looked around! The shop is modern and light and the sushi sets in their showcase looked beautiful so I enjoyed choosing which to buy. The staff are cheerful and I enjoyed chatting with them. The sushi was nice! The salmon nigiri and tuna roll were so tasty! The dressing for salad was also nice. But as Josy said, it was not so enough for me. I think 1.5 times size would be perfect! Overall I’m satisfied with their sushi box! I’m looking forward to trying other box next time!

Hmmm… I’m not sure what to think of Beiriso. When I tried it last week, the Italian food was pretty awful… but I do really like the idea of Japanese-Italian food… so went back to try some of their sushi. It was surprisingly good. The sushi rice was tasty and I quite liked the fusion-y flavours. — The salmon and roasted courgette was really nice — Tomato and mozzarella was also tasty The £4ish boxes of sushi are just slightly too small to fill me up, but it is quite expensive to buy two boxes(which is what I did) I wish they did a slightly bigger sushi platter for £6-£7. As my first visit was sooo bad, I don’t think I’ll come here very often. But the sushi was nice enough to come back and try more occasionally.
