Best chinese in Hitchin. Excellent food and you’ll want to keep coming again and again.

You can end up with a very big bill in this place if you don’t keep your wits about you.

Hitchin isn’t awash with Chinese restaurants but this is the best of them. It’s situated on the second floor (you access via a flight of stairs) in the Hight street just off the market square.
You can dine a la carte if you wish but most opt for the ‘all you can eat’ option where they literally keep bringing you plate after plate of food until you cry ‘no more’ and stagger out of the premises groaning. It’s a fixed price for this option — £15 from memory — but the food is lovely and it’s a really good deal for a night out.
Other reviewers have commented on the drink prices and I’d have to agree — if you don’t watch it you’ll end up spending more than you intend and with lots of salty chinese food on the table it’s easy to swill back the booze rather quickly.

This restuarant is situated on the second floor, over Woolworths. It is beautiful inside and the food is wonderful too. They operate an eat all you like menu, which if I remember rightly is about 14 pounds per head. For this, you are allowed to choose a certain amount of dishes, which you can then share with the other diners. if there is one you particularly like, they just bring more if you ask. The food is served to your table rather than being buffet style, which makes it more personal.
The service is excellent, and they are very attentive. The only criticism I have is that they used to charge for service each time they brought a drink to the table, which racked up the bill. The bar was literally next to our table on one occasion, but they discouraged us from getting up to go to the bar.
However this is a great restaurant, probably the best chinese I have been to in the area.
