Subway

Firstly I would advise that my review relates to the newish Subway branch located on the Cressex Business Park in an industrial unit facing lincoln road. I understand ownership of the two branches is by one and the same person.
The Cressex branch is somewhat revolutionary in that it is located within a brand new industrial unit, on a new estate and clearly caters to the Business Park workforce. That said it is open late as well like most Subway’s.
The décor is great. An excellent lounge like seating area and the usual subway décor composed of green and light and airy colours.
Where this branch fails and the reason I stopped visiting it months ago was the appalingly rude and inefficient cabal of staff speaking in an illegible form of English.
Now where does this come into play when doing a food review, well the problem is, the said individuals frequently chat and laugh with each other as u attempt to make an order with them, seemingly distracted, they fail to understand what is being asked of them, and worst of all, are bemusingly stingy with the measures they provide on sandwiches. One women in particular I asked to put tomatoes on my 12 inch sub and she miserly put 2 small slivers of tomato begrudgingly with her fingers without gloves. I had to ask her to add some more and she put 1 more sliver of tomato on. This continued with the tuna and black olives i asked to be put on. I suddenly felt as if I was in the downtown Mozambique branch of Subway where toppings were being rationed.
On another occasion I asked another member of staff to toast my sub for twice the usual time. I asked for 25 seconds toasting and met with a surly individual muttering under her breath and unwilling to listen to me.
That was when I and the rest of my workers who I would shop for en masse stopped going to this branch. To the manager I say, please employ staff who actually care about providing a small modicum of service to the customer and listen to how the customer would like a sandwich prepared.
As I understand it many people within the Cressex business community have had the same problem with rude staff members at this branch.

Food is good. Like any Subway really. Only thing is the actually process of obtaining it though was a disaster! The place is so cramped and if you have children I wouldn’t recommend going in there as it is a nightmare to move around in there! The staff weren’t that friendly either.
