Went to the Wine Bar yesterday lunch time people enjoying the food and drink on offer and the real coffee.
Did not see the Gangsters only their Molls they must of all been busy doing Gangster things.
overall nice quiet place for good food and drinks now with tables and chairs outside to take in the ambience of the town and people watch.
IT is no longer called dempseys it is now The Wine Bar

Dempseys wine bar is a tiny place down a flight of stairs at the bottom of Mortimer street. The decoration inside is nice and the atmosphere is good. The prices are not as expensive as the décor and name would suggest. A pint of Strongbow for example costs £3.20. The house wine is also reasonably priced.
The bar staff when I visited were friendly and although we only stayed for one drink we didn’t really feel like the place was suitable for younger people as most of the clientele were middle aged and appeared to be gangsters.
However despite this it is a nice place to sit and have a quiet drink. Apparently the food is also very good and the smells from the kitchen were lovely.

Very Quiant and Quiet. Great Place for first dates or new couples. Always a nice atmosphere and some great choices of wine. Nicely presented on the outside. Nice exterior fonts and lovely looking flower boxes most of the year around.
