Saxty’s Cafe Bar

I remember Saxty’s from way back when. It was always a good place to go daytime or evening but I haven’t been there for years until recently.
We just happened to call in for coffee one Sunday morning and obviously got the tired staff from the night before.
The atmosphere was dull and even though we tried to be bright and friendly we didn’t raise a smile or anything that resembled a welcome.
I understand from our younger friends and relatives that it’s one of ‘The’ places to go whatever your age but maybe in our mid 60’s we’re just a bit too over the hill for them.
We won’t be going again and in all honesty they won’t even notice we’re not there.

Really great vibe to this place, chilled out yet classy at the same time. Food is good, portions reasonable and the price is very good too. Staff were really friendly and helpful when we were there, too. An excellent night out, either with friends or a couple.

Saxty’s first started out as an ordinary, up-​market wine bar, but has since progressed to become a hugely popular Bar, Café, Restaurant and Nightclub.
Conveniently located in the middle of Hereford City centre, Saxty’s is the place to come for a relaxing drink, meal or tea/​coffee after a hard morning/​afternoon shopping, and is a popular meeting place to catch up with friends at any time.
It’s ‘up-​market’ reputation is reflected in it’s quality ambiance, comfortable seating with sofa’s & attractive décor. A smart dress code is strictly adhered to.
At night Saxty’s comes into it’s own with its cool DJ music and late bars, and weekends are club nights, open until 3.00am.
It has a fabulous smart restaurant for evening dining which is especially popular for functions, parties and groups, and also an impressive, full list of both wine & champagne, which should keep everyone happy!
A heated patio garden with bar & BBQ in the summer completes the picture.
Friendly attentive staff, reasonable prices and a great atmosphere will ensure an enjoyable experience at this popular venue.
