As a rower it does not get any better than to sit by the river, drink in hand, and watch some of the worlds best pass you by. High tea, Oyster Bar, and a fine lunch are all available within the Enclosure. Should you wish to have a fashionable day the Stewards Enclosure is worth the money. A place for those of you who enjoy people watching. The grass is always green, the people always friendly, and there is the bonus of seeing the silver cups. Dress code consists of; Lounge Suits or Blazers and Flannels for Men. A shirt and tie are a requirement. Jackets are to stay on throughout the day. Skirts or dresses below the knee for Women(no trousers divided skirts or culottes allowed), should you wear anything but, you will be turned away. Hats are encouraged but not required. Should you not be able to get your hands on the Stewards Enclosure you might be better off in regards to going out with friends for a good time. Bring a picnic, a blanket, and some drinks early because the crowds will beat you to it and you might have a very hard time amongst the people. There are no dress requirements(as you will soon see) but generally women wear dresses, short or long, and men try to dress smart. There will likely be some mud at random points due to the thousands of feet, and a lot of pushing so be prepared. The course is lined with bars to wet your whistle, and it gets less crowded nearer the start of the course. Enjoy!
