Just had a super evening in this pub, very welcoming despite our late request to eat. Super food and wine /​beer. Good feeling to the place — good mix of old and new. Only wish it was on my door step!

Situated at the North end of the village on the way to Horsham. Excellent food and ales well kept. Very nice feel to the place. Used this pub when I was working Henfield. never disappointed with lunch.
BUT, of course, I am also partial to The George up the road.

Beautiful village pub, with a large open fireplace, ceiling beams, rouge leather sofas and real wood tables and chairs. Lovely staff, beautiful well spoken and polite waitresses/​bar maids. I only wish I had a pub like this nearer to me! We had the set christmas menu (and a guinness) the food quality was very good. The whole atmosphere and food had a real homey feel. I may need to move to Henfield purely for this pub!

This 17th Century pub exudes character and has featured in the Good Pub Guide for many years running now. Landlord Gyles Culver and his wife Mo pride themselves on setting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for locals and new comers alike.
The food here is a mix of English and continental and is all prepared to a very high standard indeed. We went there for a Sunday roast and were amazed at the size of the portions. The beef was rare and really juicy and my wife’s pork was perfect with award winning crackling!
They now have wi-​fi available so you can sit in lovely oak beamed surroundings, drink real ale and surf away!

Nice old pub right on the High Street.
Lovely feel to this place, it is large but filled with pine tables and old sideboards with flowers & magazines.
The menu is imaginative and food excellent. I always have something with a salad as their homemade dressing is gorgeous but the meanies won’t part with the recipe !!! Don’t blame them, really.
Prices are average and staff friendly.
Not much garden but there is parking, entrance tight to building so easy to miss.
