This is my favourite Indian place in Hemel. Friendly staff and delicious food. An interesting menu, well presented dishes and with banquet night sun-thurs it’s superb value. It can get busy, so booking would be the safe bet.

After having a variety of mediocre take aways since moving to Hemel I found Guru in the local paper(Herald) they had a menu printed in it and so I thought I would give it a go. It cost just over £25 for two starters, two main dishes, muchroom rice, keema naan and two popadoms. There were complimentary mango chutney and mint sauce and salad and onion salad. Not the biggest portions I’ve ever come across but the tastiest I’ve had in a long time. Everything was delicious which is unusual with home delivery as food generally gets a bit sweaty/cold in transit. I can only imagine that eating in the restaurant is even better. I definitely plan to go to the restaurant for the banquet nights. I hope you won’t be disappointed, I wasn’t!

The original Indian curry-house in Hemel Hempstead! Still maintain a good standard of food and are located in bridge street slap-bang in the middle of the town. They do a banquet night from Sunday-Tuesday where you can get the following: –Starter –Main Course –Side Order –Rice or Naan Bread –Coffee all for only £9.95! Quick service, reasonable prices, home delivery and great food.
