The Green Chilli certainly looks the part and thankfully the food lives up to the décor.
It’s a family run business they offer a wide range of dishes. Two that stand out are the Tandoori chicken shashlik (a scewered dish cooked in a clay oven) and the goan chicken masalla, which is divinely creamy but not sickly. Another interesting item which I haven’t seen elsewhere is the kashmiri rice (with bananas!) This won’t go with all curries, but works especially well with the goan chicken.
Prices are reasonable, but you will need to place an order of £15 or more to qualify for delivery. The staff are very pleasant and always happy to modify any of the dishes on the menu to your personal taste. All in all, a good balance of price and quality and worth giving a go.
