Pizza Patio al fresco

The other reviews give this place more credit than I believe it deserves. We were seated in the back room which does have a lovely view out the window of the sea (until the sun goes down). However, the food was just OK. I had the cheese/​walnut ravioli and sticky toffee pudding, and not only was the ravioli portion very small (maybe this is normal, but it’s ridiculous), it also just wasn’t all that great. Midway through the meal, they turned on a heater that gave the whole room a strange, bright red glow. It really was decent, but my expectations were higher.

Went to this restaurant last night… it was very busy but the friendly waitress took us outside to the heated patio area. It was lovely to be outside looking out onto the estaury and we were treated to 2 sightings of a formation of geese in flight.
Mum ordered the sea bream which came with new potatoes, salad and hot french beans. Dad and I had the filet steak and salad. Dad had chips with his and I had the sauteed potatoes — absoloutely lovely to see sauteed potatoes on the menu and they were crisp and well salted. Well done to the Chef, it was easily the nicest, expertly cooked steak I have ever had.
Looking at the menu, you will see a huge list of pizza too as well which veer away from the usual Domino’s/Pizza Hut etc fare, which is great. They had all kinds of authentic Italian toppings. They do a takeaway pizza service too which is great if you want to eat at home.
The staff are lovely. Very welcoming, a pretty bunch of waitresses! The employees at Pizza Patio seem to have fun and it is great to see a nice tight ship running really efficiently on a night where the restaurant was packed out. Lots of different types of people in the restaurant, young couples, middle aged couples, groups of friends and families. Will definitelly go back and recommend it for its great food and atmosphere.

Misguidedly we went to the Pizza Patio on Valentines day after someone’s recommendation, it’s certainly not the most romantic place to take your partner.
Inside is all very cosy with the tables a little too close together and looks out onto the main street, we had to whisper to stop the tables next to us listening in, but out the back is a larger room with seaviews, the Patio.
The service was good with a couple of staff in a relaxed atmosphere and the food was really nice, in fact I ordered the duck breasts and it was the best duck I have ever tasted. My partner went for pasta and she really enjoyed that too.
Overall it’s a nice little place that we would probably go back to if we were over in Hayle again, although not dressed up to the nine’s this time!
