The Staincliffe Hotel

The hotel came to our rescue when we had booked into a B&B in the town and left in disgust! (Yes, I will be writing about it!!)
I travel to Hartlepool regularly and always eat here in the evening. The food is really good and they do lovely fresh vegetables not always easy in Hartlepool!
We stayed in the suites which come in at a hefty £80 a night. The bed was so comfortable, large and not too soft or hard and the room was clean. The view is superlative. Overlooking the sea with a bay window and chairs to sit in watching the waves! Lovely!
However. I was very disappointed in the decoration which is now tired and a bit outdated. There were no toiletries at all, not even hand soap! which is
a bit bizarre! There were no slippers or gowns which I would expect for that price in Hartlepool. The wi-​fi didn’t work in the room at all and the telly was a basic 5 channels.
However, I would stay again if I could afford it just for the view and the food!
