a. Your typical Indian restaurant with some unique dishes– Coming from USA and being in the London area — I expected a bit more. Nevertheless, the place was packed on a Friday night and there was a small wait. Ambiance was average but not depressing. They do have a decent choice of draft beers and drinks, which is good. b. We tried the Pav bhaji(pretty average — not like mumbai — they used regular hamburger buns which was disappointing), Dahi Paapdi Chaat(again pretty average not like Mumbai), Hara bhara kabab(didn’t like it, undercooked and dry). I Loved the Crispy Okra dish — that was an instant hit at the table. They definitely did a better job with the punjabi/north Indian style entrees(Jeera aloo was nice) — however, those dishes are easier to make — Chaat is where the skill and test is, especially when you brand yourself«Mumbai». c. Service was friendly and prompt — and the wait staff understood the menu items. I would stick to Punjabi/North Indian cuisine here.

Food is average, lacking spice, mixed grill was overcooked, chilli paneer is bland and substandard. The only great thing is their masala chips, but other than that wouldn’t really go back.

This is a huge place, perfect for groups and family occasions. They had ample parking which is a bonus. Again one of those Indian themed sports lounge/bar settings. We were a group of six with three kids. The food was so-so and nothing unique. We would probably visit again for the convenience aspect only. The food was simply not ‘momorable’. In fact I don’t even remember what we ordered which is so unlike me! Give it a try on a sports night, but again food is good but I didn’t find it lip-smackingly good.

Meh. Mumbai Junction is yet another Indian restaurant in the area. I have to say one thing — when you have dozens upon dozens to choose from, this is possibly not one of the best options. Food is meh. Service is meh. Drinks are double meh. It’s good for a drink and some starters, and yes, the people serving you are polite, but it’s nothing exciting. The menu is the same as every restaurant in town, although that must be equally the fault of all restaurant owners in the area focusing on Indian food. The portions are ok for sharing but often too sweet or too salty. You end up paying for things you wish you hadn’t and realizing you could have had slightly better food at one or two other places just a short drive away in any direction. It’s always busy, so they must be doing something right, so maybe I should give it another check before making up my mind but it’s not one of those places that stuck with me. The experience was average and I’m not itching to go back, to be honest.

We eat here on a regular basis as the food is of pretty good standard. The starters alone are enough to fill you up! Staff are helpful and friendly and the culmination of everything induces a lovely dining experience.

I came here just 2 nights ago and I had high hopes. We ordered *a lot* of starters, including mogo(cassava), paneer, chilli balls, pakora, aloo wada, bhel, kachori chaat, golguppa… The only items that were amazing were the mogo and chilli balls. IMHO the pakora were greasy and the chaat was dry. On the plus side the food was seasoned well and the chutneys were left on the side mostly :) The passion fruit juice was slightly salty, which was odd. I didn’t personally like the sports bar vibe, but the people I was with liked the giant TV screens. The tables where we were sat were at a funny height, and the chairs were tough to move around(I presume this was the bar section, but they still serve food there?) The place was rammed so I think this is a popular restaurant, but slightly over-rated I believe…

Lovely indo-chinese food. I did not like the rest of the food though it was good but i would give my rating for indo chinese food lovey :) When we went for dinner the place was too crowded hence I would suggest that make reservation before you visit.

Good, friendly welcome and great food. Full of all kinds of people families, couples, groups etc people, and many Indian people so that’s a good recommendation in itself. One thing their spiciness ratings are way off for my European taste buds! if it says mild, it will be quite a hot medium etc. However, they will cook any dish to the heat that you prefer so as long as you know that you’ll be OK and the variety and taste of the dishes is great.

Hi I had a Very bad experience upon my evening out to this restaurant… I ended up having a very serious stomach bug for 6 days which was not a pleasant experience at all. I would advise all customers to be aware of this restaurant and if you still wish to try it out; be very careful. Take my advice and keep away. Bye Paul Santana

I would recommend mumbai junction to anyone who likes eating out I went there with friends a little while back and I honestly enjoyed the food it was delicious. The staff there are all so polite and the atmosphere in the restaurant is just perfect The menu is well presented the price for the meal plus drinks are quite reasonable… we all enjoyed our evening. If you are ever driving towards Harrow, Middx do drop in to Munbai Junction I guarentee that you will enjoy yourself all you need to do is to pre book your table before hand or even if you see the restaurant call in and book your table. It used to be called John Lyon pub, Watford Road, Harrow

Wow. I write this slowly as all my blood has rushed to my stomach to battle the result of my gluttony. It’d be very easy to blame the gorgeous food and the standard extra large portions you get. But I can’t. I was full after the massive starters arrived but I battled through to the end of the mains. Food excellent. Staff excellent. Child friendly. Glutton friendly.

If you make a visit to London then this place is a must. It’s like a posh yet casual indian bar /restaurant. The food is at the highest quality and they make the basic foods of india(pani puri, fish tikka, chicken tikka) to elegant curries, all the dishes are highly presented. They also make Mogo which is cassava in a sweet sauce. They serve king fisher, cobra and peroni on tap and a bunch of others. This will be an experience.

We went to Mumbai junction after a number of people recommended to us. For some reasonm, we thought the food was slighty bland. Apart from that, service was good. Maybe the restaurant is good, it was maybe the wrong time we went.

The Mumbai Junction is a curious place, formerly the Hungry Horse with a clear restaurant/pub divide, the new place seems a little confused about what exactly it is. The owners have billed it a ‘Sports bar’ however it feels more like just a restaurant with some big screens thrown inside. On arrival you are greeted at the door by a smiling waiter, who will sit you down if there’s space, present a plate with cutlery and a menu, table service is mandatory just like a restaurant, however right in front of your face is a big booming widescreen. Long gone are the days when you could just turn up and sit down with a pint and watch a game of football. The whole process of watching the beautiful game here has become incredibly civilized, sanitized, the atmosphere could even be described as stiff, however i can imagine watching cricket here to be a quite enjoyable with the great surroundings and good food. When the sport isn’t on a constant flow hindi music is provided on the screens courtesy of Zee TV, B4U and other Indian music TV. to describe this as a sports bar is a little bit over the top. There is really no need to do it. i feel the success of the Blue GInger had a huge influence on this place and it shows, the Mumbai Junction gas some great food, and there lunchtime specials are great too. There are also some good beers on tap Kingfisher, Cobra. I would definitely come back to eat however i would choose to watch sport at this ‘sports bar’ somewhere else. Somewhere with a passion about sport, somewhere that lets you indulge in your passion.

food is average, service is slow everything seems to be pretty disorganised however, the décor is very nice i feel that blue ginger in Kenton is twice as good as this!
