It’s now called Abercorn Everest, owned by the owner of all the Everest restaurants in the harrow area. Amazing food, new cocktail menu and great service. With the view of the kitchen, you’re practically sitting at the chefs table without paying £100 upfront. I love their chatpatta chicken pops and their lamb chops! Big spacious restaurant, great for families, date nights etc. They even have a function hall upstairs which accomdates up-to 200 people. Ample parking behind the restaurant and off street. Definitely value for money.

First visit here since it was redone. On first impression, it looked lovely. The lighting was a bit low, but the seating was comfortable, and I liked the look of the restaurant at the back. They market themselves as a bar /restaurant. We sat near the bar, and ordered drinks and starters expensive drinks, and the lukewarm food was, at best, average. We then decided we wanted desserts. The fruit salad was taken off the menu as too many clients were complaining about it, and the other two desserts had run out. This was offered to us after a 20 minute wait. We then said we would have coffee again, a 20 minute wait before being told by three different staff that they had run out of coffee beans!!! This is supposed to be a restaurant? One of the servers admitted they hadn’t had any coffee for weeks. When I asked why they couldn’t just go to Sainsburys across the road, I was told that they could only use coffee supplied by their suppliers! Also, the toilets, as nice as they were done up, were obviously not checked regularly absolutely horrible state. We left(no tips!) and went to a nearby bar for more drinks and desserts, and when we got chatting to the barman and told him what had happened, he laughed, and went to tell another man standing near the bar THEOWNEROFTHEABERCORN!!! Who couldn’t even be bothered to come over and apologise. Don’t waste your time or money going here.

After reading such a positive review from Punam D, we decided to visit. My cousin booked this place. Went there on a weekday… Not that busy… Parking is great and the décor is lovely. Service excellent. Toilets Clean. Great relaxed environment, drinks serverd fast and spacious comfortable chairs… That is where the positive ends. The kitchen, be it open, has a 1 star hygine rating… which is very very poor. It effectively means meat and vegetables are mixed(not good for vegetarians). Cooked and uncooked food mixed… no cleaning, no washing hands. basically no understanding of hygine. We had a great view of this open kitchen and the chefs did not looked overworked… The food was poor. It was really really poor. It was expensive and bad. 5 of us went and the amount with some drinks came to £172 without tip… hmm too much. All our starters tasted the same… and were all fried. The mains were no better either bland tasting, poorly presented, there was no love in the food… You can always tell where the chef’s are enthuastic about their food, you see the buzz in the kitchen and the food tastes better… here, nothing of the sort… If I was management I would get rid of the entire kitchen staff and start again. Its a shame as the front of house service was excellent. The service on par with decent restaurants… I go for the food… so I wont be going here again.

Had lunch here. Good service, good food. Lots of parking out front which is a bonus in Stanmore. Would definitely recommend to others and go there again.

Went for a Saturday lunch. Was really good tasty food. Amazed how quiet it was we had the whole room to ourselves. Apparently busier usually. We had a good variety of dishes, for me it was spicy enough and didn’t burn my mouth off. Worth looking into. A step up from many of the local Indian restaurants with good reputations.
