Rudding Park Hotel & Golf

I went to the Clocktower restaurant at Rudding park for a family meal and it was very interesting. The staff could not have been more friendly and even gave us a brief history lesson about the 450 year old olive tree in the middle of the restaurant! The food is extremely pricey and is most definitely haute cuisine (that means tiny portions on posh plates)! I opted for the dressed crab followed by pan fried salmon and beetroot gnocchi. It was absolutely delicious, but I could have eaten so much more. Maybe it’s the Yorkshire lass in me liking big portions of good grub or maybe I just don’t like being teased by tiny morsels that cost me nearly £30. I have to say, however, that the atmosphere in the conservatory was fabulous and we were made to feel most welcome. Even when there was a mix up with one of our orders, we received the meal free of charge and were also given a free glass of wine to make up for it — nice touch! We rounded off the meal with coffee and petit fours. Delicious! For those who haven’t been to Rudding park before, I would definitely recommend it, but maybe eat in the bar area if you want to see change of a £20 note! It is a gorgeous venue, set in fabulous grounds in a glorious part of the world. Don’t knock it til you’ve tried it! I might even try the B&B part of it next time!

Myself and my husband got married here 7 years ago and return every year for an anniversary meal. Everything about this hotel screams class, from the valet parking, to the beautiful rooms with huge beds, to the very walkable gardens.
The restaurant is the best food I have ever eaten. Always something new, and always the most amazing service. The bar food is just as good, if more hearty.
Yes, it’s expensive, but it’s worth every penny. Even after one night you’ll come home feeling like you’ve been away for a week.

We went here for a wedding last summer and it nearly blew us away. Situated just outside Harrogate, Rudding Park can be found by a golf course in the middle of stunning landscapes of true natural beauty. The wedding was held in a beautiful old building complete with sweeping staircase, old-​style library and wonderful old décor that really added to the occasion. The staff were brilliant and couldn’t have done more for us. An ideal place for a wedding, just keep your eye on the price tag!

Rudding Park hotel is truly a fantasy type of hotel. The price is very good for what you actually get. Staying in the suite we were luckily enough to have a very large bathroom, a seating area and large bedroom in the corner of the hotel with a great view of the entrance to the hotel.
The room was faultless except for the tv which did not seem to want to get sky! Therefore, the very kind staff, Stephen in particular, made the journey to a local blockbuster, free of charge! to get a dvd for us which was exceptional service considering it was Valentines Day and they were very busy!
The restaurant was incredible, with a large bar area where we enjoyed canapes including mini fish and chips in a newspaper like carton!
The actual meal was flawless, we had the risotto, beef and then romantic fondue to finish. Absolutely top class food.
There was also a gift of very expensive molten brown shower gel which is priced at £17.50 in the shops so I was over the moon for this!
I definitely recommend anyone to go for this hotel!
