The coach is one of the few traditional pubs remaining in Harrogate. It’s packed to the rafters on Friday nights in particular, when it attracts a mixed age crowd, but mainly those in the 28+ age bracket. Teenagers are something of a rarity. Warm evenings(now a distant memory) see the punters spilling out onto the pavement. The pub overlooks The Stray, so there’s a nice outlook.(for non-locals this is like a vast village green) There are always plenty of bar staff, so you’re not standing for ever waiting for a drink. This is a great place to meet your mates and kick off the weekend.

good home cooked food served here every lunch time, and a selection of good real ales(the red rooster is highly recommended) together with all the normal keg beers. it has a typical friendly yorkshire service and a homely, nice atmosphere. you could take anyone here.
