Water Margin

This chinese restaurant is massive. It is a buffet style restaurant only and the inside is designed like a school dinner type area with hundreds of tables which are closely packed together and can be difficult to manouvre yourself into and out of your seat. There is also the possibility that you will be seated with strangers and you regularly get to hear snippets of other people’s conversations.
The saving grace here is the food. It is absolutely delicious. Everytime i have gone there have been variations on the dishes and the array of food is amazing. There is also a bar with a range of fresh ingredients which you collect and take to the chef to cook for you on a grill. You can see it cooking so even if you are not keen on the buffet type spread there is still choice.
Dessert choices are amazing with fritters, gâteau, cakes and ice cream. There is jelly available too and the coconut jelly is just lovely. Prices are extremely cheap although drinks are expensive and the staff although polite do seem a bit abrupt. However, you don;t really need them expect to pay… All plates are provided by the food bar and you can use a clean plate every time.
Highly recommended for the food although the atmosphere is strange.
