I can’t believe my local, trusty Indian Takeaway hasn’t been reviewed on here! The Spice of Life is an absolute gem of a takeaway, and the only one I would use if I was having Indian food. Located on the main road, a 5 minute walk from the shopping centre itself, it’s a great, accessible location for most of Hamilton. It’s also located within a 15 minute walk of most pubs I attend, so is a wonderful place to go for some drunken appetisers!
The menu is enormous, with roughly 300 things listed on it, so there is absolutely no chance you could be struggling to find something you like. Delivery charge is £1.50 on all orders, no matter the size (a very fair price!), and the food matches this wonderful pricing, with 90% of meals on the menu costing less than a tenner!
If you’re going in for a collection or just ordering in store, the staff are always helpful and knowledgeable about the food, and good at what they do. There’s also a TV on the wall that’s usually showing a film channel or something if you’re waiting a while; the food is made upon order.
