So I actually chose this place to come on my birthday. I really fancied a Chinese buffet but also craved curry… So it’s my own fault really. The service was good, but most of the food was obviously lying out for a long time before we got there. Credit that they made me a fresh dish, but it wasn’t what I was after(chicken satay skewers, but I received a random Chinese dish). The curry is the star here, with the owners and cooks being Asian that’s no wonder, and it was pretty tasty. But some of the other food options, such as the pizzas just looked like they had been lifted from farmfoods and shoved in an oven. I probably won’t be back, but if it just concentrated on Indian food it would probably make a good restaurant.

What can I say about this place. I should have known better when agreed to go as I have a natural suspicion of places that do not specialise on one or two types of food. Noone can someone master 7 – 8 different types of world cuisine. It is a really big restaurant with booths and tables. Being so big and it being a Sunday probably contributed to the lack of atmosphere. The staff were attentive but then there were only a few people in. The food was meh! Some of it had been left out a while and this was obvious. The one positive was that my boyfriend fancied satay chicken and we asked for this. The chefs made it up fresh for him and delivered it to our table. It was alright. The second positive was the chocolate fountain. They had marshamallows and other fruit which was nice. Will not be rushing back.

I was quite excited to visit here as I hadn’t realised there was a world buffet in Hamilton. I knew about the one in Glasgow but my man and I fancied somewhere a wee bit quieter. It was £11.99 for the buffet as we went mid week. Unfortunately it was the middle of the road for me on their food. Aye they had, Chinese, Indian, supposedly Thai, Italian and surprisingly a taco, so Mexican as well then. So yes it was quiet, which we wanted but this disappointingly meant two bad things. 1. It meant some of the food was dried out, so had been lying for quite a while. My man’s taco was brick hard. 2. The staff were constantly coming to our table asking how everything was. I don’t mind the once but every 5 minutes by every single member of staff in there. GOAWAY!!! WE’REFINE! The girl who we were greeted by and explained how it worked was absolutely lovely and very helpful and friendly. She served us our drinks and was the first to check we were ok and then left us to it. There was plenty to choose from but I felt it was more Indian dish focused. This maybe due to the restaurant being run by Indians/Pakistanis?! The girl apologised to us for the other staff harassing us when we went to pay her the bill, she said they can be overwhelming. We also said about our food being quite dried out and she apologised again and said we should have said something because they would have cooked up something else. It was kind of her but we didn’t realise we could and when going to a buffet I don’t always know what I want and will like. I also wanted my food instantly, hence going to a buffet, so no wait. It was an alright experience, only lifted by the friendly girl staff member(who I would gladly rate 5 stars) but I don’t think we’ll be hurrying back soon.

Poor selection of food. Waitresses are great look after you but the’re not allowed to keep the tips the manager takes it. Will not be back. Hot flame buffet in uddingston is far better
