BYOW Event @ Mushtaqs!

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the first Unilocal event that I arranged! ’twas all very exciting, and went off without a hitch! The event was at Mushtaqs Indian restaurant in Hamilton, because this is an award winning restaurant that our Community Manager Chris wanted to try, and unfortunately at the last Mushtaqs event he was unwell!
Can we all just take a moment to cherish the fact Chris actually left the safe kingdom of Glasgow to attend an event in the shadowlands of Hamilton. I hope that all the effort to renew his passport and get through border control was worth it!
The six of us that attended all thoroughly enjoyed the food that we had, and the service was absolutely wonderful as always. Much hilarity ensued as it always seems to whenever the lovely Miss Freer is involved! Thanks to everyone who came and made the first Unilocal event i arranged a successful one!

A big well done to Martyn for organising his first UYE (Unofficial Unilocal Event) or as they as more known today as BYOW.
Mushtaqs is an awesome choice of restaurant and so handy for me too. Yay! The food is absolutely delicious and I’ve never been let down everytime I’ve been. It was so good that our CM Chris was able to make it along, especially as he missed the last one due to illness.
It’s the busiest I’ve seen the place and the service was still as good, with plenty of extra staff on hand to meet our needs, especially as there was a birthday happening too. May have joined in a wee bit with an extra loud chorus of ‘Happy Birthday’ and of course the hip hip hooray. Hehe!
Thankfully it wasn’t too crowded to get to the buffet and there was plenty available. They must have went through many poppadoms as Fiona certainly didn’t let our plate go low, taking them crispy delights right through to dipping into our ice creams at the end. Yum! You’ve just got to try!
A great evening with fab people, banter and super tasty food. Nice one guys!
