I went into the toilets in this tesco and it was like visiting a toilet in a club just before it was closing bloody hell it stank and had pee on the seats(female toilets) The store itself is ok, I vist when its less busy so there is usually the things I want but for such a big store they need to make some changes make the aisles have more of a variety. The staff seem a bit moody

I’ve reviewed the Bow branch and gave that 2 stars for poor customer service. This is marginally worse(but better for parking) in that although it appears big it’s actually smaller and the ranges are downmarket in comparison to a normal tesco store. The same customer service issues exist here also. Come on Tesco, pull your finger out, these stores need you to invest in staff who actually give a st for good service. I understand the population’s less expecting of good service but surely you need consistency of quality of service to keep the tesco brand at the top?

Get more baskets Tesco! Getting one is like mission nearly impossible. I had to grab one from an old lady today as soon as she unloaded her stuff onto the conveyor belt. And this isn’t the first time. I like a good treasure hunt as much as the next person but not when I’m shopping for my supper

Besides agreeing with everything that Tamlyn wrote, this ‘superstore’ often has under-stocked shelves; it often happens that I only need a few items and all of the products I planned to buy are sold out. Quite frustrating.

Despite its generous size, this is pretty sub par supermarket. It has a chemist, bakery, toilets and car park but no deli or meat counter. Some basics like candles are also missing. The tills are usually understaffed meaning long queues and frustrated customers.

This is indeed a medium sized store not a proper ‘big huge branch’ it’s a place run by ixxxts, never enough staff at the tills, and when there is a rush at regular well predictable times the staff seem to all piss off to have a break, the place is a mess and most of the time not a quality shopping experience. Not at all what is communicated via there advertising

Tesco was founded in Hackney, so I suppose it’s only appropriate that an absolutely enormous one should be right in the heart of Hackney. I used to come here every week and do my weekly shop for about £1.70. But that’s probably no longer possible thanks to the rising price of wheat. I find all the basics products in Tesco much better quality than anywhere else and great value for money. There is an enormous drinks section, and a huge roast chicken section if you like your birds fresh and hot.

This is Hackneys largest store, it has plenty of parking and many to local bus routes run close by. Just watch out for the little dvd sellers that appear from out of no where when you park up.

A proper big, huge branch of Tesco, with facilities including toilets(if you dare). They have a huge range of foodstuffs, including standard veg and groceries, and a huge range of foods from different countries. It’s a good place to find something different, though quality varies. Tins of stuffed aubergine in oil(called something like patlakan?) are delicious, but a mutter paneer ready meal in a box was the foulest thing I’ve ever eaten! A couple of lumps of black coated slimy cheese and about 2 peas in a huge slick of brown sauce It’s nice this branch seems to really push the boat out in terms of what they get from abroad, but it’s certainly a gamble! I like that though. It’s nice to experiment! There’s loads of checkouts, so not usually a problem there. Great for bargains and surprises!
