Good food at a good price. Unfortunately, this particular Nando’s is even more cramped than most, with tables very close together and even tables crammed into spaces where the servers will have to ask the diners to move every time they need to come through.

The one and only time I’ve been to this and any Nandos restaurant, the food was nice, but expensive for what you got and the food took a very long time to come considering it wasn’t that busy, was very cramped and loud, the atmosphere was okay and the staff were friendly enough!

Great spicy chicken, all with the signature piri-piri sauce, and all chicken. This is also one of the relatively few places in Guildford that is open«late», i.e. until 11PM, which makes it a good place for last minute dinner that doesn’t cost a fortune. For some reason, Unilocal has this restaurant labelled as «American(traditional)», but this is most certainly untrue– I do hope that piri-piri chicken makes it’s way across the pond, though, as it’s quite delicious. My one recommendation is that the spiciness levels are a bit low; I found the«medium» to be not at all spicy, but the hot has a modest kick.

Total value for money not just for students but all of us with a tight budget wanting a good and filling meal out. A perfect place to throw a birthday party too. These guys are the original peri peri people which options on how spicy you want your food to be. The fizzy drinks are unlimited too. Desserts are limited though. You can leave a tip of the desired amount which isn’t compulsory.

Recently, I found myself riding a bike down the Avenida de Vicente Blasco Ibanez in Valencia, and I saw a sign for a restaurant called«Nando’s». I quickly realized this had nothing to do with this Nando’s, but it did make me think of my favorite veggie burger in the UK. Is it Portuguese? Is it Spanish? Maybe some other lost tribe of Latin-derived origin recently found by one who would have a new fast-food concept to sell to the world? Who friggin cares? It’s really really good is what it is. In a wasteland of vegetarian burgers, populated with the easy-to-prepare, but difficult to stomach bean-burger that is so often found, here in the UK, Nando’s stands out. If you like the slimey bubble and squeek-like bean burger, they have one of those, too. But I prefer veggie burgers that pretend to be a real burger. This is one of the best I’ve had. What makes Nando’s so fabulous is the sauce. Yeah, Peri Peri is a stupid name and I’m still not sure what it means, but take the best sex you’ve ever had and add chili peppers, and you get an idea of what this stuff tastes like. I’m very fond of Extra Hot. It’s not so hot that it would impress your Keralan tuk-tuk driver, but it does the trick. There are also bottles of a Garlic Peri Peri on the condiments table that I typically add to my dish. I’m sure one day I’ll read the ingredients and be disappointed to find MSG or some other engineered ingredient meant to trigger a synaptic«I like this» response. But for now, I’ll live in the bliss of ignorance. Nando’s specialize in Chicken dishes of all kinds. Sandwich, ¼, ½, and whole chickens can be bought, all barbecued with the Peri Peri of your choice. Being vegetarian, I can’t vouch. They claim very fresh ingredients. And that’s fine but I honestly can’t imagine anything tasting bad in that sauce. So if the bird is your word, try it out, and write your review. We have yet to bring our son, but it appears to be very child friendly. There are families there every time we go. One note of caution: don’t be sucked in by the offer of bottomless frozen yogurt. If Nando’s is some long lost Portuguese menu, then clearly yogurt wasn’t a part of it. They should have left that to their distant French cousins, or some other more dessertly inclined folk. Recent update on 19 April: I did email Nando’s recently, and they assured me that they use no MSG in their food. This raises even more mystery as to what they use to make that sauce taste so darn good. Thanks, Nando’s!

You get a lot of food for your money, and is a great place to meet with friends before you go out somewhere due to its informality. Nice menu as is standard with other nandos. my favourite has got to be the peri peri chicken which is amazing. Avoid the super duper hot as I was fooled by a friend to have some and its seriously hot. Drinks a little on the expensive side if you want alcohol but this is where restaurants make their money. Overall great place to eat

Well it is basically a place to go if you like your chicken. Though I did infact choose to have a vegetarian option which was more than acceptable. Decent sized portion in the end. the building is quite nice and you’ll find yourself a long walk in getting to the lavatories. Got myself a bottle of Cider which I had assumed was a bottle of beer! Staff mostly seemed foreign so did not really understand me too well. Ok though.

If you don’t want chicken for dinner then don’t go here! Virtually all the menu items include chicken aside from some vegetarion options and one beef option. You get to choose how spicy you want it and I can assure you want to be conservative in your choice here. If you find you’ve asked for something too mild you can add extra sauce at the table but if you order too spicy you’re going to be in trouble! The service is very fast, partly because you have to go to a till and order and also because the chef only needs to cook chicken. The food is basic but I love the spicy chicken and the selection of decent side orders. Don’t bother with starters or dessert, save your money and just order more chicken — you can get a lot for very little! I go here a lot because you don’t have to wait long, it is very good value, two sides of the restaurant are glass so it’s well lit and the drinks have free refills. Ps: If you like the Peri Peri sauces Tesco’s sell it in small bottles in the various levels spiciness.
