I’ve been living here for about a week now and Bill’s is my favorite restaurant for Brunch. Awesome tea, great atmosphere and good service. Definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a good morning break! Prices aren’t horrible.

Bill’s for me is hit or miss. The food, generally, is good. The service, almost as a rule, is slow and leaves a lot to be desired. I keep coming back because of the food, but inevitably I’m frustrated when my order is incorrect. So, if you have a lot of time and are flexible, definitely go because it’s tasty. If you are in a hurry maybe it’s not the best choice.

I love the food at Bill’s, and I love the restaurant’s atmosphere. It doesn’t at all feel like it’s in the middle of Guildford High street. However, on both times I have come to this restaurant, the service has been fairly poor. When I was ordering my food, in the middle of me speaking, the waiter said, «one sec» and walked away while I was mid sentence! I wasn’t impressed at all by that, but the food somewhat made up for it!

Great breakfast & afternoon tea, but a bit on the pricey side

Went for a large group breakfast, approx 18 of us. Very impressed with the service. Food all came out close to the same time. Breakfast was nice, good quality food with a slight twist to what you’d find usually. Waitress was really helpful and done a fantastic job. Really good fresh ground coffee too. Lot’s of friends have recommended Bill’s and I can see why. Would go back again without doubt.

If you want to take a step back in time, and get away from modern Guildford, take walk down the alleyway and step into Bill’s. Nice selection of beers, and ciders that I detested, but my dinner mates adored. Cider tasted like a combo of oak, rubber tire, and burnt electrical fire. This is not exactly a very appealing combo of flavors, but that is what my taste buds experienced. After laughing at me, my mates simply labeled me the Crazy American. Good bar fare — fish and fish was good. Interesting twist on tartar sauce; not my favorite in Guildford. Loved the low ceilings and darkwood that takes you back to establishments from the past. I like that better than the modern restaurants

I’ve had two solid meals here. Favorite foods include chicken liver pâté, Cumberland sausages, but I’d skip the Ceasar salad. The chicken was a bit dry.

Portions tiny starter sized… And pay 9.95 … That was moules frites. Service was rather slow and not too polite. Service charge forced 12.5%…
