This is the main section of the canal that runs through wigan located near the old wigan pier museum, no longer open now.
The orwell pub on the canal is still open though. You get the kittywake party boat from here.
Very quiet stretch of canal now all the tourists have stopped coming, great place to sit and have a beer, bit run down now as the museums and shop have all closed.
Will just wait to see what the council do to redevelop the place again, sadly the the famous pier nightclub at side of canal as closed as well.
