Went here on my lunch break and had the fungi chicken pie with mash. It was lovely I would recommend. The service was very fast which is good considering we went on a very sunny Friday afternoon!

Their steak and blue cheese pie with mushy peas was outstanding. Very distinct meaty taste with a hint of blue cheese. Great street food deal at $ 5 pounds. However, do not use their wooden forks and knives. Although very green, they leave a weird woody taste in your mouth. Like you’re eating wood.

3.5 stars. Tasty pies, but certainly a hit-or-miss situation. We’ve been here multiple times now, in search of the best meat pies(damn you, US, for not catching on to this delicacy), and every time we would have something decent but also something not-so-great. There is one thing I must say though — the pies are way better hot than lurk warm, and they are best consumed standing in the market while still piping hot. Each the lackluster flavours taste better in this fashion. As for which flavour is better? I like the ones with more veggies(peas, mushrooms, what have ya) mixed in, rather than the meat and stout varieties. They seem to have more flavour.

Tasty and affordable pies that are sold in a variety of flavours– yum! Some are a bit lacking in flavour, while others are bursting with it– a bit more consistency there would make it 5 stars. The wildshroom and deerhunter are particularly splendid, and I’d really like to try more of their flavours. They even keep well for a day or two if you decide to take them home and reheat them.
