The Hippodrome is one of the oldest surviving circus buildings in the UK dating back to the early 1900s. The circus features a water spectacular where the ring is sunk and filled with water for synchronised swimming routines. There is a dance troupe Estelle’s dancers which regularly perform in the shows. The shows are full of colour and variety and the clown is hilarious. The downside is that the seats are quite steep around the ring — there’s not much room but it’s worth it because the shows are fantastic. A great way to spend an evening in summer and the kids will love it(especially the clown!)
