Built on an old rubbish tip and with views over Asda, this new hill park might not at first glance sound very appealing. But if you take the time to walk up it you may be pleasantly surprised. The small park consists of a hill with stone dust walkways, a small stream and a summit topped with areal views and a stone-seat-cum sculpture. As well as the dismal off-white of Asda you can see the green islands of Steep Holm and Flat Holm and an areal view of Cardiff. Local? It’s well worth a visit –bring a small picnic, walk your dog or toddler. Cyclist? On the Ely bike trail? it’s worth stopping to swig your squash here.
