Situated at the top of the longest green in England, the bell has recently undergone a major refurbishment (According to the website), but is it any good?
As it goes not bad. The bar staff were friendly and served a good pint of beer. It was clean and although we didn’t eat there the food that was served to other people did look and smell very nice and they left clean plates which is a good sign. From visits a couple of years ago I know there are gardens to the rear with a children’s play area. They also have a pet’s barn so whilst waiting for the food you can take the children in there to pet the animals.
In the summer out the front of the pub it’s a very nice place to sit too if you like cricket as the green also doubles as a cricket pitch.
Prices are average for drinks and food so yep I’ll be paying this place another visit and soon because it was so nice.
