I both stayed and ate here during a recent business trip to Glastonbury. The owner /operators(Bill and Ness) were lovely and very accommodating. Each morning we had a custom-made breakfast of our choice(things like traditional English breakfast, eggs Benedict, poaches eggs and bacon, etc.) served with toast, tea and coffee. These dishes were well prepared and a hearty start to the day. I had two other meals here… a traditional Sunday carvery lunch and a pub meal of fish-n-chips. The Sunday carvery lunch was a potpourri of items and flavors. I chose a combination plate which had both roast beef and turkey served with gravy. Included on the plate were several different kinds of potatoes(mashed and fried), stuffing, mixed veggies and a Yorkshire pudding. We had a lovely cider to accompany the meal. The pub fish-n-chips turned out to be one of the best versions I had on the trip… moist, flaky cod served with great chips and some peas. They have a nice selection of beers on tap that went perfectly with the fish. All in all my time at the Inn was great and I’d definitely return to sample both meals and drinks again.
