While I plan to give it another shot, the V Club was a terrible disappointment for me. Located upstairs on Sauchiehall Street, you have to seek V Club out to find it. It’s one of the small entrances between the swarm of smokers that frequent the downstairs clubs, so keep an eye out. The spiral staircase is a cool feature, but not exactly the greatest asset to a club. There are several floors to hang out on, and for each floor you climb you desperately pray that it’s the one your friends want to stay on. But hey, it can only escalate your stage of inebriation. On the night I came to V Club, it was literally my group of friends, me, and the barmaid. Some others came and went. While the preferential treatment at the bar was top notch, and we got our pick of the brilliant vintage bar chairs, it doesn’t make for a great night of dancing amongst the crowd. The music was good for the time we were there, though. Overall I’m sad to have had such a dreich experience first time around, but would definitely return for another try.

This is a nightclub/live music venue hidden away on sauchiehall street(only doorway is visible from street). It is very small but the staff are friendly, drinks are reasonable and they play a good selection of indie/alternative music.
