Quaint little tea room that served great coffee every morning to us during our stay. Very sweet staff and great homeade chocolate bars.

We found this little hidden oasis on Crow Road last week and decided to stop for a late breakfast. It’s pretty twee, the kind of place I can imagine taking my grandma for tea. It’s got bunting and flowers all over the place and a lovely porch area you can sit on when the weather’s fine. It being a typical rainy day, we opted for indoor seating and were greeted by friendly staff who were just attentive enough. We both got the special Eggs Royale and they were pretty good. A bit lacking in ‘bite’ texture-wise, the english muffins had gone a bit soggy and combined with melt in your mouth salmon it was all very soft, but taste-wise it was really delicious. The Hollandaise sauce was really nice although I’m not sure it was home-made. It was £7 each for the eggs plus we both had a coffee, bringing the bill to about 20 quid, which is pretty standard for that kind of breakfast in Glasgow I reckon. I’d definitely come back here, especially in the summertime for lunch! Perfect place to take the relatives as well.
