I came here as part of a charity golf day. I didn’t pay, so can’t really comment The day started with rolls and bacon or sausage. I plumped for the bacon as it was well stuffed with the meaty goodness, the rolls and sausage had just a simple sad looking(some might say forlorn) lorne in them. Then it was onto the gowf! It’s a nice course, not too hilly which was just as well as there weren’t buggies available to hire. That’s how I prefer to roll when playing golf. We finished with a two course dinner in the restaurant. I’d say it was OK — decent brasserie standard Balmoral chicken with veg and soup to start. I can’t really complain about anything other than buggies only being available for actual disabled people.

I love the Carrick! I came here with a girlfriend for a day spa. The pool, Jacuzzi, Steam and Sauna rooms were all just fantastic! I have been to a fair few hotel spa’s so far and the Carrick is definitely one of my favourites. The staff are very friendly and helpful, offering us robes and flip flops at reception before guiding us to the changing rooms. The changing rooms were lovely, very clean and neat. The steam/sauna rooms where lovely and clean and the design was very modern, I enjoyed the little lights that looked like stars on the ceilings — that was a nice touch! The pool was great as we had it all to ourselves so that was fun! The infinity rooftop pool, oh my absolutely lovely looking over the golf course. It was quite a chilly day and the water was just a nice temperature to soak in — we didn’t want to get out! After 2 hours just enjoying the spa we headed to our own little room for our clay/mud treatment. I didn’t realise it was a DIY sort of treatment but I guess it was sort of fun that way! It was like a shower/sauna cubicle for 2 people, kinda cute set up inside. It was small but wasn’t claustrophobic. Treatment was lovely our skin felt amazing afterwards. I would definitely come back here again. In fact i’m in the process of trying to convince my boyfriend to take me there again!

Well there really are few words to adequately describe this amazing place, the best I can manage is ‘heavenly’! I came here for the first time a few days ago as a bit of a treat from my good lady after a particularly difficult and stressful year for me personally. To say that I walked away some 5 hours later completely relaxed, at peace with life and ready to face the next chapter is testimony to The Carrick’s ability to create a world of calm and relaxation like I’ve never experienced before! From the beautiful surroundings to the décor and soft music, everything is designed to help you unwind. Lucy B has superbly described the spa facilities in her review a couple of days ago so I will not repeat them but suffice to say«GETYOURSELFBOOKEDINHERENOW!» Granted it’s not cheap, but if you have an opportunity to treat yourself, skips the shops buying ‘stuff’ you don’t really need — head to The Carrick instead for a bit of self-indulgence. For £60 I can whole-heartedly recommend an hour of fun and mud therapy in the private duo spa chamber! :-) Few business manage truly excellent customer service as they focus on the product or the price whereas here, the staff and surroundings were focused on me and that made me feel special — that’s what I will remember most about my awesome day and why I can’t wait to return! Enjoy…

This place is the bees knees. The man and I were recently booked in for a spa day, and what an incredible treat it was. We’d booked a duo spa chamber, which is a private spa room designed for 2 people, which was just stunning. In the suite, we had an aromatherapy bubble bath jacuzzi which had already been prepared for us and a mud chamber, which is a steam room, with a shower, a cold water hose, and a pot of Rassoul mud. That was fun ;-) There was also a private balcony overlooking the golf course and one of the fountains. So we had an hour to ourselves in the suite, then two therapists came in and we each had a hot stone massage, on beds next to each other. Fabulous! We were then shown into the relaxation room, a large curtained room with subtle lighting, and 12 day beds decked in sumptous fabrics, where you can drink herbal tea and mineral water whilst coming to your senses. Lunch was in the Spa Café, and it was lovely to be able to just lounge about in the fluffy robes. They provided fairly well for vegan me — I had the soup, but was a little disappointed just to be offered a salad for my main(not very warming in November!), but they were really nice about it and did seem to be trying. The man had some delicious looking tapas. Then the afternoon was spent in the spa. WOW! I won’t list everything, but we tried the sauna(with a glass front so you can still enjoy the view), the Aroma Steam room, the Hydro pool, which has lots of different water massage jets, the Tropical Shower and the Tepidarium. And, on the rooftop, the HOTTUBINFINITYPOOL. Spent quite a bit of time in there… Oh yeah, and then there’s the swimming pool, again with views to the scenery outside. The receptionist was particularly helpful and welcoming, and all the people we encountered were friendly, making our treat day even more lovely.

Fabulous golf course on the Loch Lomond. Great club house, challenging course and wonderful views from the course. It was pouring down when I played here but weather aside I loved playing here. The club house is also great and serves good food. All in all an experience I would repeat again in a heartbeat :-)
