Swarovski

My gran used to have a glass display cabinet full of Swarovski figurines and the likes, which I always really wanted to touch but was never allowed. Humph. Imagine my childish delight when I noticed this store in Buchanan Galleries. However, I still wasn’t allowed to touch!
As well as these figurines (which to my adult eye look tacky and a waste of money, but terribly nostalgic), Swarovski also specialise in a stunning range of seriously bling and sparkly jewellery. My personal favourite was a set of stacking rings, with little sparkly silver jewelled stars dangling from them, for a very reasonable £90. They would make the perfect gift (for me, hint hint)
The jewellery as a whole is not that expensive, certainly not compared to the figurines and crystal ware in the store. I had my eye on a stunning-​beyond-​stunning pink coloured crystal champagne flute, which would have made a great Wedding or engagement prezzie, but came in at over £200. For one!
Gorgeous stuff, but pretty pricey, although the jewellery prices may leave you pleasantly surprised!

I have a slight love/​hate relationship with Swarovski. I love love love the unusual, quirky jewellery they sell but can find some things a little bit tacky looking.
I love the wacky goldfish collection that Eleanor mentioned and the little charms they sell for their charm bracelets are sickeningly sweet and cutesy (but I love it!) I also adore the super sweet Disney jewellery, especially the Alice in Wonderland themed pieces. I also like the Crystalline home accessories collection and have my eye on the gorgeous cake stand at the very reasonable price of £250!!!
I have to admit though that while many of the figurines are cute they are also pretty naff and not to my personal taste. I find the Swarovski covered cross and heart pendants to be dated and tacky but that’s just my personal taste.
The staff in this branch are really helpful. One of the girls took about 20 different things out of the display cabinets for me to look at and I ended up not buying anything! She took it well though and never made me feel pressured to buy anything.
While not everything in the store is to my personal taste I really recommend this Swarovski branch. There is something for every budget and the dazzling shine that comes from all the items makes you feel like you are get good quality for your money.

As soon as you walk into a Swarovski shop your eyes are always dazzled by all the bling and this one is certainly no exception! Located on the ground floor of Buchanan Galleries this store will definitely put a little bit of sparkle into our life.
I have a few friends who adore Swarovski and have pieces dotted around their flats, my mum is also a big fan and has a few little crystal teddies to add to her teddy bear collection. I’m not into the ornamental Swarovski so much but I do really like the jewellery, I got a really gorgeous coloured crystal flower ring on holiday a few years ago that’s really unusual and people always ask me where I got it from.
At the moment they have a stunning set in the window, well, maybe not so much stunning as quirky. The star of this new collection is a little orange goldfish, with pop eyes and luxurious fins adorned with Swarovski crystal, he’s even gold plated! The fish is featured on necklaces, rings, bangles, bracelets and earrings and the prices range from £50 — £170. I guess this style might be an aquired taste but if you’re a fish lover or just like something a little bit different then it’s ideal. Of course, you can also find more classic, subtle pieces that will go with every outfit and be completely timeless. I guess that’s why I like Swarovski so much, they have ordinary, classic pieces but they also do off the wall quirky items too.
The staff are very helpful in this branch and will be happy to let you try any of the items on.

I really like Svarovski jewellery and this is a really nice store. Set up of shop means that you can wander around shop and have a good look at items on display. Staff are really good and happy to get lots of items out for you to have a better look at but they don’t put any pressure on you and you don’t feel that you have to rush. Items are expensive when you consider that it is just costume jewellery but their stuff is really glitzy and can makean outfit. I always feel very glam when i wear my svarovski stuff and people always comment on it. I also like the fact that anything you buy from this shop is always packaged really well and staff will gift wrap items for you if required.
