I’ve had a gander for shoes in this shop a couple of times, however when it comes to the crunch the prices are just that little bit to high to justify. Ok so some of the gear is not bad and they do tend to have a fair selection, but its just the price… are these trainers really worth paying that much extra? Another thing i ain’t too keen on is the rather aloof members of staff who at times appear to be royally pissed off if your ask them for any assistance… maybe it was just me, maybe they could tell i didn’t have the money ans was just pissing about! In saying that though, i do think it’s worth popping in hear for a quick look.

I often stop by here to have a quick look at the trainers, then notice the price, and leave. It must be mentioned however that they do seem to have their fair share of exclusives that you don’t see elsewhere, and if it’s proper shoes you’re after, then theres a pretty hefty selection. As a scruffy, tramp-like individual however, I have little interest in such footwear. They do women’s shoes too, though less than male varieties, and it’s an ok if not hugely exciting store, with a bland atmosphere to match.

I had been told that sole trader is a good shop for kicks, but I regret to announce this is not the case, or at least I am not convinced. They offer nothing inspiring, or original it is just a generic shoe shop that sells overly priced subtly differentiable trainers for young adults. It does ok and that’s what it is an ok shoe shop but I don’t particularly like it. It’s a shop that wants to attract a specific customer, one who doesn’t know to much about what makes a cool shoe but also has a lot of money. If you are listening sole trader, spruce up your ideas, get more hi-tops for a start, as it is you ar eonly trying to be cool!

Sole Trader is a great place to go if you are a chap who wants to pick up something a bit fancy or a little bit special. There is a wide range of brands such as Paul Smith, Timberland, Evisu and Fit Flop. So if you like your hooves to be wrapped in the trendiest of shoes then this might be a good place to start. I have a couple of male friends who like to shop here and they always say that the stock is more suave and the shoes more interesting than the rival shops in town. Yet, when my boyfriend recently tried to return a new pair of shoes which he noticed were already badly scuffed, they refused to swap them for another pair. Boo Sole trader — shame on you! Sadly the stock for us ladies is slightly more limited and I was very disappointed by the little ghetto of female shoes in the corner. They don’t even offer any student discount. Tut Tut!
