I’m alongside those who do not«get» the Radley charm. A dog shaped label doesn’t persuade me to buy a bag. Whenever I pass by this store it is never busy and more often than not it’s only salespersons rather than customers inside. I’m not a fan, and yes I’m happy to confess to being an older discerning customer.

Despite the fact that I’m not a particularly big fan of Radley, this store is a wee gem. It is so luxurious that I am almost won over by that cute little dog and the high quality is evident. All the females in my family adore Radley bags and purses and this store is great for finding that very special gift that most would appreciate. I just wish they were a little trendier.

I’ll be honest, I’m kind of torn with Radley. On one hand, I am an absolute handbag FIEND. I trawl the internet for the perfect bag, I covet them, I examine them, I wait until 3 months is up to decide whether I’m going to purchase a particular bag. In that sense, I’m all for Radley, as it has some gorgeous bags and accessories on offer. The problem is that they’re all a little too old for my testes. My aunt bought a lovely laptop bag, with was a bit of a splurge for her, but the quality is brilliant and it’s lovely to look at. The store itself is quite small but very chic and sophisticated looking. They have a good range of bags that all carry that little dog chain. The smell of leather is almost overwhelming, but in a good way. None of your Priceless Shoes faux-leather stench here! If you like designer bags and Radley in particular, it’s a great wee store and the staff are very helpful. Like Darryl said, though, maybe we’ll appreciate it a bit more when we’re older!

Personally, I don’t get the massive appeal with Radley bags, purses, etc. They are very luxurious, don’t get me wrong, and they’re obviously of a designer high quality, really they are, and they are quite the fashion for a certain age and wage bracket., but personally I’m not a huge fan. The shop itself has the air of designer — properly posh, and that distinct smell of real, fresh leather. You can’t help but notice the Radley trademark dog-shaped tag on each and every single item. The items aren’t ridiculously overpriced however — £50 for a large leather purse isn’t exactly breaking the bank. Maybe when I’m older I’ll appreciate Radley more…
