Ah Quiz, the other girls have pretty much hit the nail on the head with their reviews of this place. There aren’t enough hours in the day to describe how cheap and nasty it is. Everything looks like it would disintegrate if you so much as breathed on it. However they must be doing something right because this store has been around for ages and is always busy. I remember when I first started high school I used to come here for cheap school shirts and trousers. My mum works in a primary school and said that Quiz is popular with the primary 7 girls when it comes to buying a dress for their school dances. I am guessing that this is because everything is glittery and sparkly and probably very glamorous looking to a 12 year old girl. I guess Quiz serves that purpose as being an in between shop for girls who feel too old for the kidswear sections in their mums stores but are still too young for the full on fashion in the likes of Topshop.

I have to agree with Adele on this one. And while I don’t like to bomb on shops just for the sake of it, I wouldn’t wish this place upon any unsuspecting visitor. It’s full of shiny, poorly made and intentionally gaudy clothing. If any high street store name is popularly synonymous with tacky, Quiz is it. It’s been years since I shopped here but I did pop in once when looking for a cheap bag to go with an outfit for a night out, and was absolutely horrified at how gaudy and cheap everything still is. The brand image is either impressively self-aware or accidentally spot-on; I can’t decide. All I’ll say is this: Avoid it. Please. For everyone’s sakes.

Quiz is locally renowned for being one of the tackiest places to purchase clothing from, selling a variety of sparkly and stretchy garments that wouldn’t be out of place in a low rate girl band pop video. When I was at school, where you shopped was a big deal and said quite a lot about you. For the popular and quite minted kids, it was Benetton & Topshop; for the slightly neddy and sporty types it was JD Sports and for the loud mouthed skanky girls, it was Quiz. Well known for their short skirts and shabby materials, this place does not have a good reputation at all. I don’t doubt that they can occasionally probably do some stuff that borders on OK, however I suggest that they perhaps take a look at their brand image as it’s rather trashy than high fashion.

Moderately sized store that caters to the majority of younger shoppers who want a short dress to wear on their saturday night out. A lot of bling and sequins to be found in this store and clothes that aren’t really that well made. Often you’ll try on a dress to find that the zip is borken or their is a tear or a button missing. The designs are good in part but the quality is lacking. THe staff are always happy to help with choice of sizes or any other needs you have.
