Hey all, Poundland stock things for every part of the house. It is a wonderful shop and is home to a lot of wonderful bargains. for example: 4 snack items(loose) for £1 and 2 for 1 or many products. sometimes they have items that are marked down to 50p this is because the item is not selling or is nearly out of date. Love how you can pick up a gift or card(4 for £1 on cards) for someone and not feel embarrassed about giving it to them. Or if you wish to brighten up your garden you can a not a big cost. You can even buy compost and plants for your garden all for just £1 each. Well that is why I think the £1 shop or poundland as it is better known as is great to shop at.

Ah, Poundland is one of those shops that seems to stock nothing and everything at the same time, and one that you can find yourself leaving, having spent a tenner on items you never even knew you needed. A skint person’s supermarket, Poundland offers a good range of toiletries, homeware, pet goods, books and groceries. You’ll find loads of things you need, and even more things you don’t, but it’s difficult to resist, when it’s only a pound!

Well, it’s Poundland. Everything is a pound, except the items that are two for a pound or… I have made some bad mistakes here. Never buy anything that goes onto the body, be it perfume or make up. It is a pound for a reason. I still have that deodorant in my bathroom cabinet, and it really didn’t make that first date go with a swing. It is best to be tactical: do you know the product already? The go for it. It’s also worth noting that this Poundland is right on the divide between The Merchant City and the city centre. It used to be the start of a more downmarket strip, although the recent changes around the Tron have destroyed this amusing observation. In fact, even Poundland looks a bit more smart these days. Could this be the gentrification of pound shops?

Since Stalin Brown and the people that run the banks conspired to make everyone in Britain skint, this chain has had a bumper time of it, and can be seen as the acceptable face of budget shopping. You can pick up everything from stationary to household goods, toys and(usually dreadfuld) DVDs here, and as the previous Unilocaler mentioned their deals on snacks are not to be sniffed at, supplying for one pound what would be nearer three elsewhere. You won’t find anything here that will change your life, but for the thrifty /jobless among us, Poundland should be a regular stop.

Ok, I know you all know the deal here, so no need to explain how it works. I think Poundland deserves a review because of the deal I got in here the other day: 4 for £1 mix and match on snacks. I bagged myself a Snickers, Starburst Smoothies, Walkers crisps and a 500ml bottle of water for £1! That’s amazing! A Snickers for 25p? You literally can’t get better value. There’s quite a selection of snacks too: I was so torn between the Starburst and a Terry’s Chocolate Orange bar. Ok, Poundland is busy, messy, and some of the staff are complete mutants, but I love it!

This is a really good Poundland store with lots of food, toiletries, household products and little nik naks for £1. Always busy but the queues aren’t too bad considering the number of people who shop here.
