Next

This is a big Next store spread over 3 floors — 1^st floor Women’s, 2^nd floor Men’s and Home and 3^rd floor Kid’s.
The last couple of times I’ve been in I was looking for items that were not actually on the shop floor at all or not there in the correct size, both times a member of staff actually appoached me and asked if they could help. And happily on both occassions they had the items I was looking for :)
I’m glad this shop is so big and with helpful staff, as I find the Next website and online ordering awful!

I quite like this branch of Next. It’s not badly laid out and they have a nice little homeware section (I’m a sucker for homewear).
We needed to visit to swap a pair of jeans that didn’t fit. Altogether the process was very painless; we found a pair that did fit and just swapped them at the check out. I don’t think we could have been in the store for more than 10 minutes to get this sorted. I definitely rate the efficiency (and friendliness) of the staff.
I don’t normally shop in Next but I was surprised to see quite a lot of things I might wear on this occasion, so I’m planning on returning soon, maybe next time they have a sale.

As Next stores go, this seems to be a reasonable outlet.
It’s fairly large, and over 2 floors, and it is cram packed with as many clothes as they can fit in I think. There are lots of changing rooms and staff are very helpful — there are buzzers in the changing room that you can use if you’d like someone to get you a different size, or presumably assist in some other way if you get stuck in a dress or whatever.
They also have the usual homewares on the upper floor, and staff will look up the Directory for you if you can’t find the item you’re looking for in store.
Next clothes just aren’t for me. I don’t know what it is — they just aren’t cut for my shape. I keep trying, because, while most of the clothes aren’t really my style, sometimes a skirt catches my eye as being good for work. Today I got a bit excited as there were 2 skirts that looked lovely. On the hanger. On me, they looked dreadful. Sad face.
Still, I’m not marking the shop down for my body shape, so it’s a 4 stars for being a good Next.

This branch is in the Buchanan Galleries and caters for every person in the family. They have some baby clothes and clothes for children seperated into age groups. I can not say much about the womens department but my girlfriend says the clothes fit nicely and they wash well!
The mens department is good from t-​shirts, to jeans and jackets. I got a good deal on a jacket here and the staff were friendly.
The store also stocks some goods for the home such as mirrors and cushions etc.
