I stayed at this hotel for two nights, and it was quite ok. My room was small but sufficient. The bathroom is even smaller, the shower looks expensive — but only on the photographs. There’s a telephone, a mirror and a water boiler with instant coffee, tea bags and hot chocolate on the table. The table drawer contains some information about the hotel and the city of Glasgow. Please note that all the rooms in this hotel — including the breakfast room — are below the ground. So don’t expect sunlight, and mobile coverage might be a problem(I had no problems with Vodafone). The staff ist very friendly and helpful, although not very easy to understand sometimes, as they either speak local or eastern european dialect. The hotel serves breakfast which is included in the room price. The breakfast buffet contains milk, cereals, juice, jam, butter and cheese. A Nescafe coffee machine claims to make 10 different coffee drinks — but it always tastes like instant coffee. You can have eggs, sausages, toast and most other things that make a scottisch breakfast. These things are made fresh upon order. The service staff is very friendly, and the food tastes good. The hotel is only one corner away from Sauchiehall Street where you find numerous restaurants and other shops, including a 24h shop. Buchanan galleries is a 5 – 10 minutes walk. So, I’m sufficiently satisfied with my stay. A little problem was the TV which operates on a room antenna and thus the picture drops quite often. Also, they claim to have WiFi, but it’s not included in the room price and they want 5GBP for that!
