I’m not the biggest makeup fiend but there’s something deliciously alluring about MAC. This store is contained within Debenhams at Silverburn but has it’s own entrance and is set up like its own store so gets a bit more focus than any other beauty brand.
This store offers makeup services, application sessions and lessons (great for learning new techniques), and demos on the spot if you’re just a walk-​in customer. When I visited, all the staff (I think there was 3 of them) were all busy looking after customers who were getting makeovers so I wasn’t offered any help but I was happy to have a wee look around myself anyway.
I’d definitely return for an in-​store makeup session, particularly because the cost is redeemable against a purchase — so even if you don’t want to go all out with a whole new look, you could treat yourself to a lovely new lipstick or something like that.
