After attending the Unilocal Elite Event at Piece we were adviced by the staff to try here. The food is amazing and so tasty Angela B. and I thought why not as it’s only 5 mins along the road from our work in Govan. Chris D. had also said to me a while back now that a café had opened here and to try. My Ian decided to join us when he found out I suggested going along. We made it along to Film City and it’s been a few years since I worked there so wasn’t sure what entrance to use. We went to the Govan Road entrance and only by fortunate coincidence some guys were heading out. They asked us what we were looking for and we said the café and they asked if we worked in the media industry and I explained how I worked for Fablevision Studios along the road and it was a media production company and said ‘no problem, come on in’. So it seems it’s a very exclusive café, they explained the café is open to people in the media, BBC and STV as they are just along the road as well. So we could have been left disappointed. They directed us where to go and we found it straight away. It’s very bright and airy with a outside secluded smoking area. The choice was good and of course I went for my favourite, Coronation Chicken with delicious purple cabbage coleslaw with optional delicious raisins. It was a taste sensation! We all really enjoyed our lunch and the staff were very nice as they checked to see if we were enjoying our lunch. We had explained how we found out about them through the Unilocal event. The only thing is I feel we might not be able to go back as it’s a buzzer only entrance, which I noticed on our way out. I do know people that work there but it’s not fair to buzz them, and that’s if they’re in, to get access to the café. I think this might have been a one off visit for us unless I get work there in the future. Great food, great staff but only for media peeps.
