Kirky Puffer

The Weatherpersons of the town. Cheap drink, cheap food and very spacious.
Happens to be near local so this is where I end up. Decent for a night out. The drink will flow and it’s full of the locals. During the day no matter what day you go in it is generally the same crowd. Not a bad thing but just the place doesn’t really change. Except maybe the weekend nights when the younger crowd comes in or the next generation of binge drinkers.
Food is not the best for me. Stick to the burgers and you cannot really go wrong. Sausage, chips and beans used to be the cheapest and best start to a night out, but they got rid of that. Ragin!
I have had some great nights in here, never much trouble. Which is why if I am local I tend to stick to here.

This is one of the Weatherspoons Pubs situated in a converted police station in Kirkintilloch. This is a large pub that sells basic food and cheap drink. The meals are ok but then who goes to a Weatherspoons for fine food. It’s a good place to go if you want a quick meal and a chat as there is no distracting music.

Cheap booze but you know what that attracts lol.
I think there was a classier looking clientele heading in and out when the «polis» were still here.

As soon as you know that the Kirky Puffer is a Wetherspoon’s bar, you pretty much know what to expect inside.
This bar, located in Kirkintilloch, is within the old police station of the Glasgow satellite town and if I’m being honest, some of the punters look like they might not have went home from since before the building had it’s change of purpose.
If you had consumed your fair share of sherberts before you went to this place then on the surface you might think that it looks ok inside. However if you examine it closer with the benefit of sobriety then you might have a different opinion of its cleanliness and general demeanour.
All towns seem to have a Wetherspoons and this one will do exactly what it says on the tin. There’s pretty well priced booze and always a good deal or two on. There’s wi-​fi access and you can get some bog standard bar food if you fancy it too. Not the best bar in the world but one of the best in Kirkintilloch.

Had a lot of different meals from here and its all been crap micro meals where possible. The only good the thing about this place is the cheap drink!

Another wetherspoons range, good drink deals, nice surroundings, nothing too special but the price of food and drink makes up for that. Unfortunatly no music as you’ve come to expect from wetherspoons but I suppose that means you get to hear one another talk if your not slurring too much from all the cheap drinks.
